Anyhow, in case you aren’t familiar with the name, Acappella are the Irish distribution agents for labels we all know and love such as ‘Religion’, ‘Darling’, ‘SuperTrash’, Snob, St. Martin’s, Jarlo, Rare, Fever, Carousel (new Irish owned brand), Culture, Yuki, Pink Label, Sugarhill Boutique, People’s Market and Two Stoned – and as a self confessed ‘Darling’, ‘Snob’ and ‘Supertrash’ LOVER, I couldn’t wait to see what they had in store for us and I was NOT disappointed.
From romantic and whimsical, to sharp and clean and from ethereal to edgy, all the labels had nailed the trends for the current and the coming seasons – with each label proving that fashion fowrard, youthful styles do not have to skimp on quality.
So, we enjoyed a personal show-around of the main collections by Acappella MD Vivienne Mahony and this was followed by a short capsule salon styled show. The show was styled by brand manager Barbara Meade, with make up by Gillian Rafferty @ Salon Zeba, (www.gillianrafferty.com); hair by Gina Fitzgerald @ Salon Zeba, and models Pippa O Connor from Andrea Roche’s new AR Model Agency and Aoife Healy and Fiona Griffin from Upfront Model Management (Umm).
If you are wondering where you can get your hands on some of these amazing brands, well, Acappella currently supplies over 15 internationally recognised fashion brands to over 350 boutiques and departments stores throughout Ireland – for information on stockists or to enquire about stocking a brand.
